2015 was a significant year for MClub with the leadership transition to the 8th Executive Committee. Building on our key thrusts of capacity building, inclusiveness and partnerships, we strengthened existing programmes and successfully rolled out new ones in areas where a need was identified. Two new programmes introduced in 2015 were the <Youth> Innovates Mosque Tech Challenge and Young Women in Leadership Dialogue. Whilst the programmes provided a platform for the youths to be engaged, more importantly they provided opportunities for us to collaborate with other like-minded organisations and agencies. This augurs well as it enabled us to strengthen partnerships and forge closer bonds with other community players.
Over the last year, MClub was able to reach out and engaged more than 900 individuals through various initiatives including the annual Graduates’ Tea and Collegiate Symposium. A total of 21 members of our Young Minds Club also had the opportunity to implement a service learning project in Cambodia. Through these platforms, we managed to connect with many youths who were looking for opportunities to make a difference in the community.
To ensure that our offerings continue to create value and remain relevant in the changing landscape, MClub has commenced a comprehensive programme review scheduled to be completed by end 2016. We recognised that a positive volunteering experience matters. Therefore, we are committed to encouraging youths from all backgrounds to not only aspire to give back to the community, but also develop positive connections in doing so. Ultimately, we encourage our youths to strive for excellence in their areas of contribution.

Moving forward, we will continue to enhance programme design and delivery by streamlining the various initiatives to create value. We will also deepen engagement with members and partners. We hope that with these changes, more youths and young professionals will discover their area of interest, step up and channel their energies towards serving the community.
As our efforts grow, we are confident that the torch of service will continue to be passed on from one generation of youths to the next. With a deeper sense of ownership and spirit of giving, we will be closer to our vision of “a dynamic and progressive young generation of Malay/Muslim Singaporeans with a strong commitment to society and plugged into the global community”.
On behalf of the EXCO, I would like to thank all members, partners and friends of MClub for your support and selfless contributions. Each of us has the power to create a positive impact and together we can achieve much more.
